A classic Italian dish that combines a creamy egg and cheese sauce with a salty, crispy bacon to make your taste buds dance.

While the pasta is cooking, sauté the turkey bacon.

Stirring quickly, add the egg and cheese mixture along with the milk into the drained pasta to achieve the creamy consistency.

Makes: 4 servings        Total time: 25 minutes        

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine pasta
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh parsley

Step 1: In a large pot, cook pasta according to directions on the box. 

Step 2: While pasta is cooking, in a small bowl, whisk together eggs and 1/2 cup parmasean cheese. Set aside.

Step 3: In a medium sized saucepan, heat olive oil and add turkey bacon. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until it begins to crisp, then add in garlic and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 4: Working efficiently, mix in the egg and cheese mixture into the drained pasta until coated. Add in the milk, salt, pepper, turkey bacon, garlic and parsley.

Step 5: Serve and top with additional cheese and fresh parsley.
